Oak Wooden Floors from South Moravia Thanks to technical abilities of oak wood, that generously prospers in our climate, this type of wood has a wide range of use from floors, sleepers, poles, indoor pillars, to furniture. Floor made of oak planks is very tough and durable, has fabulous texture and striped design in the radial cut with prominent “mirrors” in the tangential cut.

Triple-layered oak wooden floors

Triple-layered wooden floors are the most commonly used as they combine a long service life and a beauty of solid floors along with affordable price and better use properties. They are made of surface tread oak veneer with thickness of 3,5 mm, middle layer is made of spruce lamination and the bottom layer of antislip spruce veneer. Around the perimeter they are provided with a spring and groove. As a standard we offer microphase lengthwise. We can provide floor without phase on request or with phase on short sides. Triple-layered wooden floors are delivered planed, ready to be layed and for other finishing work (cementation + surface finish). It’s also possible to have floors cemented, grinded, brushed, smoked and oiled into various colour shades. Triple-layered components can be either stuck or layed “floating floor style”. This type of floor is also suitable for floor heating.

Double-layered oak wooden floor

Double- layered wooden floors are benefitial to use if there’s not sufficient space for using triple-layred or massive constructions, where we considering having floor heating and it also enables to provide the comfort of having wooden floor for affordable price. As well as triple-layered constructions, double layered floors combine durability and attractive look of massive wooden floors. They are made of surface tread oak veneer with thickness of 3,6 mm, spruce lamination middle layer with thickness of 6 mm, but without a bottom antislip layer, which means they are thinner and have poorer thermal resistance. They are also produced in a smaller format. Around the perimeter they are provided with a spring and groove. As a standard we offer microphase lengthwise. We can provide floor without phase on request or with phase on short sides. Double-layered wooden floors are delivered planed, ready to be layed and for other finishing work (cementation + surface finish). Solid Oak wood flooring

Floor planks are made of solid oak wood dried to humidity of 7 – 9 %. Around the perimeter they are provided with a spring and groove. On the bottom side there are grooves made by a milling cutter. As a standard we offer grooves lengthwise, on request is possible to provide flooring without phase or with phase on short sides. The product is suitable for customers who want a natural product made of Czech oak with its characteristic drawing and small imperfections (knots, sapwood) that are typical for this type of wood. Planks are delivered ready to be layed and for any other finishing work. They can be cemented, grinded, brushed, smoked and oiled into various colour shades.

 

A few words about oak wooden floors

There aren’t many other materials in architecture and building industry that have been continuously used since prehistory. These materials must have features that are unique. There are only a few like that and wood is definitely one of them. It’s material that is very close to humans due to it’s interesting design, characteristic scent, brilliant insulating properties. It’s pleasant to touch and it makes us feel at home. We can find all these benefits of wood throughout the building and furnishing industry. Oak wood is very popular and has a wide range of uses in various forms. Wood as building material, thanks to its mechanical, thermo-technical, ecological and esthetic features probably doesn’t have a competition. As an organic substance wood has also other benefits, for example: it can absorb excessive humidity and release it into dry environment, absorbs toxins from interiors and allowes to get rooms heated faster as it has low thermal storage capacity, but also good heat insulation, keeps pleasant climate in summer months, etc.

Wood is great builing material, can be easily treated and also its weight, especially foor ceiling and roof constructions is ideal. Wood is attractive to look at, it’s pleasant to touch and has good acoustic properties. Therefore, it’s no wonder wood has been with us for centuries and probably still will be for a long time. It’s no surprise that wooden architecture is so popular in Scandinavia and German speaking Western European countries. It’s not only about getting back to the nature and old values, but people who choose this type of living are demonstrating their need to live in attractive and peaceful surroundings and also save energy and environment.

In the building industry you wouldn’t find more commonly used material then wood. This material is extremely clost to humans, has brilliant thermo and sound insulation properties. Can be easily treated and even nowadays we can still find original wooden oak flooring in historic buildings that are a few centuries old.
